Help! car shuts off while driving

I was leaving to go over my girlfriends house, and my car just shut off. The radio was still playing, but the steering was locked up and the engine was off. So, I pulled over, put it in park, and started it again. Ran fine untill a few minutes later when it did it again. It did it a few more times until I got to her house, and one time I was turning and the steering locked up and shut off,and I ran up on the curb,so now my alighnment might be messed up. I cant think of what it might be, except I replaced the rubber tube between the TB and MAF with a rubber coupler, but all my sensors were fine. I went to ocean city for a few days, and came back and ran it kinda hard but fine, then a little later it started. PLEASE HELP!

Re: Help! car shuts off while driving

It is possible that the tube is collapsing sending an incorrect signal to the MAF sensor causing it to shut off. The only other item that will cause stalling like this and then restarting without throwing a light is the crank position sensor. They can go bad very quickly so that may be the place to look.

Re: Help! car shuts off while driving

I thought it might be a fuel problem,so I added some oil because it was a little low,and added some fuel system cleaner to my gas tank. I drove it and it ran a little smoother but still stalls. Im prob gonna add some fuel injector cleaner and Im gonna replace the tube between the TB and MAF.I'll see what happens.
