engine cuts out?

hey got yet another question for yaz, when ever my truck sits for more then 30 mins after i go to drive off it feels like the engine cuts a 1/4 of its power right after i hit the throttle?? has any one else had that. it clears up once u hit the gas a lil harder, but i'm also averaging like 13-14 mpg so im wondering if they are connected? ha i'd still rather get 13 mpg with my truck than 30 with a toyota, lol

Re: engine cuts out?

Fuel Pressure regulator or stuck injector. Pull the vacuum hose on the regulator, if you see gas, the diaphram is leaking and needs to be replaced.

Your throttle body may need to be cleaned as well. I believe there was a TSB about that.

Pull the vacuum hose to be sure. Also, if you have a fuel pressure tester, hook it up and start the engine. Shut off the engine and watch the pressure. It should hold. If it drops off then it the regulator or leaking injector(s).
