4th Gen Front End Replacment
As you can probably see I have a 94 Camaro, how hard is it to replace the front bumper, overall time required and difficulty? I have looked at it and overall it doesn't seem to look to hard to replace. There doesn't look to be that much bolted on to it. One thing I am worried about is the airbag sensor and how to do that.

ive seen the front nose clip be removed while an engine swap was going on are u talking about the front nose? or just the bottom of the front

I think its the whole front clip, I didn't know there were 2 pieces. I need the whole thing off, from the sidemarker lights in

With an extra pair of hands I can remove and reinstall the whole front (splashguard/air dam, nose, bumper honeycomb/support) in just over an hour
Get the car up on ramps or jackstands... remove the splashguard assembly (leave the air dam attached), it's maybe 8-10 10mm bolts running along the edge holding the splash guard to the nose and 5 8mm bolts bolding the air dam to the lower radiator support. Once that is off, remove the bulbs from the turn signals. Next on each side is 2 10mm nuts holding the upper rear part of the nose to the fender... may be 1 extra screw in each side. They are screwed onto studs that are in the fender. Once those are off (and the backing paltes they hold on), pop the hood. Use some needle nose pliers on the 7 or so push pins that hold the top of the nose to the headlight bar. (You want to lift up on the inner part, once that is popped up 1/4 to 1/2 inch you should be able to gently pull out the whole fastener.) Then there is a bracket on each side, it will be pop riveted to the outside of the headlight well and attached to either the frontmost fender bolt or screwed onto the radiator support. Take those bolts out, the manuever the nose as necessary to remove it. The bumper support is held onto the frame rail extensions by three 1/2inch nuts on each side... may take some creativity to get to them. Once those are off the bumper and bumper support can slide right off, but be remember to take the foglight bulbs out first so you dont yank out the wires. Shouldn't have to remove the headlight bar. oh and dont worry, there's no airbag sensor up there. The airbag control module (located below the center console) has a built in sensor, a "decellarometer" if you will that it uses, combined with computer input such as speed, how hard you hit the brake, etc. to decide when to deploy the airbags. That's how my 97 is at least.
It is this little silver box...
