sputtering 240sx
Alright, I see a lot of good stuff on here, but noone seems to have my problem. I just had to buy a car because my other car broke down, and I got a great deal on a 93 240sx. It shines and it ran great until today. I think it was after I washed the engine off that it started acting real bad. It will idle, but when you give it gas, it sputters up the rpm range. I think it will get me to work tomorrow, but it sure was fun to drive until this. I've checked for vacuum leaks, and everything looks dry, in fact, everything looks good, the check engine light is not even on but it runs bad! Will a diagnosis determine the problem? What should I check first. Any advise could be lifesaving.

Caps, wireconnectorss (/ or if u got coilpacks) - can store lots droplest causing shorting. Open all electronics connected and dry with cloth or dry air. Using CRC electronics clean sprays will help, but later they will collect dust... If u got water in TPS, will take weeks or service to get it out. Read about what should be done in a computer center (under hood): http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/14 TPS is similar, cleanup: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/6 For manual see Favorite Links on that web site . |
