Here's a good one, kinda off topic a little.
Today my father in law and I started tearing into his 81 k10 to replace the engine. He wanted to use the old heads so we pulled the heads. I told Randy, "I don't think I have ever torn into a 400 Small block before." He said, "Well your getting ready to." Well I knew that the 400 sbc had the steam holes between the cylinders but I had never seen it. When I took the head off and looked it didn't have anything like that. It turns out it was a regular old 350sbc. ANYWAY, I said "Randy this isn't a 400sbc." He replied, "Yeah it is." Then he looked at the block and the old head and said, "I'll be damned it isn't a 400." (Here's the good part) Then he said, "Well it was a 400sbc when I put it in! Someone must have stolen it and replaced it with this one."

It is funny how that happens. My buddy has a 86 1500 that is just sweet. He has put all kinds of money into it. The first thing he did was the motor. He said it was a 350. Well after putting all that money into the truck he decided he wanted to build another 350, just with loads more power, one that would be new for the shows. He built it and asked me to help put it in. So as we were pulling the old motor I noticed it was a 305, the original 305.
