Talking I speak highly of this product

While I was in autozone getting my oil filter and oil, I was beside the fuel injector cleaner isle and I over heard one of the cashiers talking to a man about how good this stuff was. It was a fuel injector cleaner made by lucas. It says on the bottle that's it the complete tune up in a bottle and it also get's the carbon deposits off the cylinder walls. So just for the hell of it, I bought it and finally while filling up last night at exxon, I put it in with the gas. The next day driving around town, it felt like a new car. The car was so much more responsive and smoother, especially when picking up speed. Now I'm speaking for a d15b1 here but it still felt like a newer car with less problems. After all this time of going through injector cleaners such as gumout and stp, this stuff makes their products look like crap. For now on I'm using lucas. And what's also great is the price, it was about 4 bucks to buy. It came in a skinny clearish bottle that wasn't flashy with graphics but said that it was the complete tune up in a bottle.

So for all you guys out there with your stock engines still in your rides, pick this stuff up. You'll love it and your car will too.

Re: I speak highly of this product

Most of these are proven not to work and can even damage your plugs or injectors. I don't trust any of that "over the counter" cleaner. Put 24oz of acetone in your tank with 10 gallons of gas. Works great for me.

Re: I speak highly of this product

Seafoam all the way, its my new best friend. Believe it or not it made my Vtec start working, blew pure black carbon for about 2 days, now it idles right on when its cold, has great power and doesnt burn as rich (i cant smell exhaust like its burning outside my car). Also put it in my friends jeep, we believed it to be gutless. It will burn rubber all the way to second gear everytime now.

I would never use seafoam. I have heard some bad things about that stuff. A lot of people also don't realize that with high mileage motors all that carbon is actually keeping it running right.

I agree. I wouldnt trust putting that shit in my car.

BUT, I do have to say if you have a new car, or close to new, like 30k, adding fuel cleaner or seafoam is great to do every time you do a tune up.

Re: I speak highly of this product

im supposing that the carbon is good cuz it closes the clearance between the cyl wall and the rings. If so then it makes sence that a car would continue to run well. But the lucas gas treatment wouldnt be that bad for the lines and injectors would it. and am i correct that i saw some1 say they use acetone in there gas as a cleaner? thats a first ive ever heard of that.

Re: I speak highly of this product

Yeah acetone. I use 24oz in the tank every time I change the oil. Helped smooth my idle out a lot.
