I lost the label under the hood and I don't know the correct timing, for an '89 s-10 4.3L TBI.
Does anyone know what to set the timing to? |

is the timing on it what can either make it idle or not? my truck idles a little bit (not THAT bad but its really noticable) and i think its the problem with the timing...i know this doesnt answer your post but maybe u can help me out? Wait you asked if its uner the hood...where? maybe i can check 4 u

Timing
Hey I had the same issue with my blazer the manual for the truck says that the timing is suppose to be set at 12% but in fact its acctually suppose to be set a 8% because at 12% you will flood the engine but this is also on a 2.8L engine i don't know what size yours is. But i hope that helps you.

It sets at 0 degrees TDC with the set timming connector under heater core/glove box unpluged.
That single black/tan wire with the quick connector. MT
