Engine Starts and Immediately Stalls When Cold

I have a 2000 Ford Windstar that recently started exhibiting the cold stalling condition many have discussed here. I cleaned my Windstar's Idle Air Control (IAC) valve and now the van starts as one would expect.

Some have asked for pictures. I have put together a small presentation about this problem and its remedy. Please check URL:http://leckemby.net/windstar/windstar02.html for help with this easy to fix problem.

Does this problem give codes that indicate a lean mix on both cylinder banks? I think this might be the problem my 99 is having.

Re: Engine Starts and Immediately Stalls When Cold

The IAC is not a possible cause for the lean codes.

What codes? If they are 171 and 174, I'd suspect the isolator bolts issue. Please check this site for that and take a look at URL: http://leckemby.net/windstar/windstar01.html for more information.
