1986 cutlass tps replacement

i need guidance in replacing the tps on a rochester carb E4M.307 eng. 1986 cutlass. which screws do i remove to remove the top of the carb. will any small parts fall out during removal. hope you can help. thanks, john.

Try autozone.com/repairinfo, this is tough to walk a newbie thru this in this venue.

i allready tried auto zone. no help. i have overhauled a 2bbl before. what i need to know is if any springs or other smallparts will fall out when i remove the airhorn assembly

Nothing will fall out of the top, just be careful and clean. The metering rods going back together can be hard at times to line up with the main jets, the bend easily at the narrow ends.

finally replaced the TPS. code 21 no longer showes up. the surges while ideling are gone. the problem that i now have is that the motor misses during idle. when i accelerate it , it runs fine. when i go back to idle it misses then shuts off. i replaced all of the vaccum lines that looked suspicious. any ideas for this problem. thanks, john
