Angry removal and installation of 4way hazard switch on 01 monte carlo

can someone please tell me how to remove and install 4way hazard switch. when I turn ether 4way switch or turn signals, they just blink on and stay on. I was told flasher is part of hazard switch. I bought hazard switch, but can't figure out how to get dash apart. I don't want to crack anything. I took out two screws at bottom of dash under steering column, the big piece of plastic just hangs there in air. Can't see any other screws.Does this piece snap off or what. Don't see any other screws. Like I said I don't want to break any plastic. Any info on how to install this switch will be greatly appreciated

If i remember right there is a way you have to squeeze the clips on the switch and it will come out

Removal of 4way switch

Montecarlossfan..... I've been squezing, prying, everything. It just won't come out. I'm afraid of cracking plastic. I've tried squeezing top and bottom of switch with screw drivers while my wife tries to pull switch out. I've even tried to see if switch comes out the front. The switch is bad though. I plugged in new switch and everything blinks. If thereis any way you can find out how this comes out, PLEASE... Help me THANKS.....
