CAMS question

i forget where i heard this. someone was saying that if you take out the cams on the 1.6 you can take them to a machine shop and have them grind off the balancing or some kinda lobes on the cam and it would lighten it i.e. gaining around 3hp. anyone know what i'm talking about, i'll trying to find the source.

Re: CAMS question

Maybe nto so much lightening as smoothing. If they machine the lobes to make them super-smooth, you should see some kind of gain. But for maybe a little less than twice the price, you can get some JWT cams and gain a nice big chunk of power.
