Dome light won't go on/Fuse box

When I open up the front drivers side door, the dome light does not go on. It does go on when I open the other three doors though. Is there a sensor or a "pushy thing" that activates the light when the door is opened?

Also, where is the fuse box. I have had the car two weeks.

The fuse box is on the left side of the dash and is only accessible when the drivers door is open.

I have a similair problem with my drivers door/dome light. when i open my door, it takes a few seconds for the light to come on. I think the switch, or pushy thing, get dirty after a while and doesnt pop out as fast. yours could be stuck.

I hate domestic cars but i needed one and my rents had this one. I want my nissan back.
