Got my ass handed to me by a camaro SS... but i had fun...

After I got off work tonight, I decided to cruise around town looking for little ricers to have some fun with, but I couldn't find any...

I was getting ready to head home, when I saw a newer camaro ss with exhaust (mabey more) sitting at a red light, I started slowing down, but when I was almost stopped, the light turned green. I floored it and took off kinda quick... then, after seeing me go by, the camaro floors it and takes off like a rocket.

At the next light, I pull up on his right and tell him "nice car" he asked if I wanted to go... so I said sure... I knew I was gonna lose tho :P

Well anyways... Light turns green, I had my motor reved to about 2500, drop the clutch, he had his reved up a little... both of us spin for a sec, we both take off, he smokes my ass by 3 or more car lengths...

I caught up to him when he slowed down, and gave him a thumbs up...

Pretty fun way to end a boring ass day at work... even tho I lost...

I could use the ricer excuse and blame it on my slipping clutch, but I wont... his car was just plain faster... I wonder how much more power I will need to be able to keep up with those camaros... Damn V8s...

Mabey I'll drop one of those camaro engines and 6 speed trans in my Z... supercharged even... ive seen it done :P

the new LS1 F-body's(camaro's and firebirds) are pretty underrated. A STOCK SS will run anywhere from high 12's(super rare) to mid 13's. they get close to 300 hp(sometimes more, but really rare) at the rear wheels in stock condition. you're gonna need a lot to beat the camaro in a straightline. but it'd be very interesting to have and s/c'ed LS-1 in your car
