taking long time in acceleration

Hi,

For last few days i am noticing that car is not picking up the acceleration even if i press the accelerator completely, somehow when entering the highway it takes long time before car reaches at 75 and then it looks normal. Problem is taking long time to reach high speed.
What can be the possible issue?
This is 98 camry with 129k miles

Thanks

Re: taking long time in acceleration

There are SO many possibilities. What kind of maintenance has the car had?

Cool

Ya. You're basically telling us, in a caveman voice, "car run bad".
You need spark + fuel mixture + compression, all at the right time to run.
Checking that the spark plugs are working well is easy. You might as well replace the plugs with some cheap NGK, or Denso plugs when you take them out to check them.
After that I would go looking for something like a vacuum leak.

If you have any trouble codes you need to get them scanned & tell us what they are.
