1999 curise control

Is their any way to check the switch before taking out to make sure it is the switch? I have read and know that this is more than likely the problem, but would like to make sure. Does any one have a wiring diagram or layout of the switch wires down to connection at the base of the steering column?

Get a Haynes or Motor's manual, they have wiring diagrams.

I have a Chilton's but it does not go into the wiring diagram of the switch or steering column. or i am over looking something.
