Im getting the PO 442 evap system small leak code. I changed the gas cap and it didn't work. Is this a do it yourself project or am I doomed? What else could it be?

Re: PO442 small leak evap system?
After this it gets tough, look for cracked hoses any where in the evap sytem. Then it will require possibley a smoke machine to find it. Tank seals, hoses, anything that would allow a small vacuum/pressure leak in the sealed evap sytem.

Re: Re: PO442 small leak evap system?
I just priced a smoke tester...$975 ...I don't think so... and there is no way I will pay someone to find something that has no effect on the driveability. So I guess I'll roll up the sleeves and start looking to replace hoses. Do I have to drop the tank? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
