submarine f-150=
neworleans,chalmette area,my bro-in-law 1986 f-150 had 10 feet of water over it for several days. the truck looks ok. the body ain,t damaged. it is a 6 cyl.,a/t. do you think it is 100% unsalvagable??it was a good truck.old timer used it to go to the grocery store. should we put a prop on it and make it a submarine.

I really wouldn't worry so much about the electrical components, but the fluids will all need to be drained such as the differential, tranny, engine, power steering, and gas tank. You will probably have to replace the battery and pull out the plugs. I would fire the engine with the plugs out and let her blow.
I had an older car that sat under water from a flashflood. I didn't even take that many precautions before I cranked her up and she came to life. |
