Knock Sensor
hey i put in the pr3 but i cant find the freakin knock sensor!! anyone know where it is? i got the b16a1

behind the block, above the oil pressure sensor. jack up the car and look.

alright i had to splice in the wire to the knock sensor because the harness did not hook right up. kinda fishy but a friend said it would be ok. unfortunatly its still saying knock sensor error. ive checked the wiring to the computer 10 times. is there anything i could have missed?

been a while since i had my b16 EF, but, i believe the knock sensor runs to B19. check it for contiunity.

its obd0, im wondering if the guy i bought the car informed me wrong about the engine, maybe its not a b16a1, the block says b16a so i know its jdm but how do i know which version it is. still that might not even make any difference from what ive heard. anyways its still flashing code 23 knock sensor error and i cant figure out why

b16a1 is the european b16. b16a is the JDM b16. the obd0 b16 is a cable tranny b16. check contiuty from the ecu to the knock sensor to make sure the line is not open and to make sure it is properly in the right place.

well everythings hooked up right, i think i have an actual knock problem. my valves are making all kinds of clicking noises and when you get on it theres a very irregular click like i have a bent or broken valve. i need to get a book for the engine, i was thinking a Haynes book but im not sure what vehicle to get it for. is it the 88-91 integra?

yea it turned out to be spark knock, all you have to do is retard your timing untill it goes away, or get some octane booster or both.

i also change in b16a1 obd0 /europe/ PW0 ECU to JDM PR3 - 2 weeks I was faithing with ecu error and i buy new PW0
fee days ago my friend told me that i have to use special cable - mayby U can trie I hope U will do IT !! |

wait wait what? your saying a need some kind of adapter? if this worked for you please send me some info on it. i was just gonna suck it up and buy the sensor this weekend so let me know

not adapter - normal wire will toke supertension from the rest of wires close to ECU
I use 3 knock sensors / I was thinking it is a problem/ but for me the bigest problem was gas - in poland we have very shitty gas /in 95 knocks ware all the time in 98 wen i was running slowly was ok when I start to take more than 7k rpm - 23 error on ECU why U wont to use pr3 ecu? vtec is faster/round 5200-5300/ than in pw0/5500-5600/on clock is ther more? on my ass dyno car rides the same i whas thinking that thanx to ecu i will have more power my bad/
