Re: Transaxel Oil Changing

Drop the transmission pan, let it drain, replace the filter, don't lose the magnet.

Re: Transaxel Oil Changing

Drain the old out and put new in. Piece of cake.
If you have a Isuzu 76mm 5 speed std.
Go to your dealer and get 2 qts of GM Synchromesh trans fluid. GM Part no. 12345349
If you have a real long funnel you can stick it down in the filler hole from the top side. Or reach way down from the top and check fluid level dip stick.

Drop the pan, change the filter/ o ring. Its a very messy job, but still has to be done.. I switched to mobil1 synthetic.. It took about 8 quarts but this all depends on how long you let it drain..

Is there still a filter and all the fluid in a 5speed 97?

Re: Transaxel Oil Changing

You did not tell them you had a 5 speed standard trans in your first post.
But I gave you the instructions for the isuzu 5 speed in my upper post.
