My father is getting the ravin z33's for his car tomorrow and he is going to delete the u-bend and put a straight pipe instead. Will deleting that u-bend do any change to the car? because it looks like it restricts ALOT of air. Thanks guys

are you talking about the U bend on the exhaust...not familiar with the Z33 thing.....now assuming i know what you are talking about, the ubend on the exhause is where the oxygen sensor is at.
Hope this helps.... mike |

Re: deletion of u-bend
yes im talking about the u-bend where the o2 sensor is. the z33 is a muffler made by ravin that is supposed to be really good.

Re: Re: deletion of u-bend
I dont' know.....with the new fabricated pipe....the o2 sensor is not really protected.....and easily could be damaged....I would leave the U bend in there...doesn't restrict airflow or change the sound i wouldn't think..but i could be wrong...

Re: deletion of u-bend
well it doesnt much, but then again , just look at it, you can see how that it is a little "crimped", but all you need to do is say screw the sensor and get a O2 simulator.

Re: deletion of u-bend
if you're going to go through that much trouble to replace the pipe why not weld a small sheild to further protect the O2 senser
