Talking Got Called Out By A 68 Chevelle

I was on my way to get some lunch when at a light this 68 chevelle pulls up next to me and revvs his engine and it sounded sweet as hell, i looked over and it had some 396 badge or something like that i couldn't really tell because it was chrome and the sun was hitting it, well when the light turned green we both punched it and the chevelle pulled ahead but i ended pulling a car length on him, damn it was a sweet race. The chevelle was on my kill list, one down and many to go.

Re: Got Called Out By A 68 Chevelle

That was definetly not a stock 325hp 396 then, thats for damn sure. Those are not exactly 1/4 mile Monsters, they got a lot of torque, not they are not monsters.

But, Good Kill!

Why are you saying that it's not a real 396 ?

Re: Got Called Out By A 68 Chevelle

No, It easily could have been a 396 and prob was. All I'm saying was it wasen't a stock 325hp one, (you woulda pulled more on a stock one) So you knocked off a modded one/350-375hp one

Re: Got Called Out By A 68 Chevelle

What would you run in the 1/4 mile? High 13's?

A stock chevelle would run prob around high 14's, low 15's...So you prob beat a modded one.

Re: Got Called Out By A 68 Chevelle

I hate to say it, but the majority of muscle cars you could beat, (STOCK ones...) Our chevelle isn't to quick, but it can smoke the tires pretty darn well, I hardly ever hot rod it. But I got to say one thing though, it rides and drives DAMN nice, a guy I know that has a 98 T/A, said it is nicer than his car. And you can fit 5-6 people in it comfortably too. God I love that car.

Oh, it is a 1969 chevelle SS, all original 325hp, 50,000 miles, it dosen't leave the garage much....but yea, you beat a modded big block chevelle....Mad props to you man.

Yeah i let her once when we went out and i had about 8 heinekens and she scared the shit out of me she slammed on the gas and we went left then right and i ended telling her to pull over and i drove home, i felt alot safer driving myself than letting her drive.
