how to remove center support bearing?
how do you get that damn thing off the driveshaft? this one just doesnt want to budge.

Most people that I know use a torch and burn it off.
If I remember correctly they are pressed or pounded on. |

On my '91 S10 I took the driveshaft to a shop that balances them after unsuccessfully trying to get it off myself (one day I will buy a press). They replaced the bearing, one universal joint, and balanced the driveshaft for I think $70.00. I know the documentation that came with the bearing suggested having the driveshaft balanced after installing the new bearing.

i finally got it off, i got pissed and broke out the 4 1/2" angle grinder and cut it off.

That works.
I don't recomend this, but a friend of mine pounds then on using a piece of pipe, and a big rubber hammer |
