Re: how to remove center support bearing?

Most people that I know use a torch and burn it off.

If I remember correctly they are pressed or pounded on.

On my '91 S10 I took the driveshaft to a shop that balances them after unsuccessfully trying to get it off myself (one day I will buy a press). They replaced the bearing, one universal joint, and balanced the driveshaft for I think $70.00. I know the documentation that came with the bearing suggested having the driveshaft balanced after installing the new bearing.

That works.
