Well, I've read most of the threads concerning turn signals. Here's my question ? Is there a specific fuse for the turn signals ? My driver side signal had a blown bulb. I noticed that the socket had some corrosion and didn't have a good connection. When I replaced the bulb and tried the signal, I believe I blew the fuse / relay / switch / flasher ???
I went to the GM dealer to purchase a NEW switch - $ 70.00 Something tells me that there should be a fuse prior to blowing the turn signal switch. I've checked ALL fuses under the hood - no luck. Is there a fuse somewhere else ? Please help. Thanks. |

make sure the bulb socket is clean, i had problems with my '98, the bulb melted a little and some was stuck down in the socket, i cleaned it out and put some grease stuff you can get at parts store for the light sockets. it has work now for awhile.

Re: Need help with turn signal problem
there is a fuse panel on the right end of the dash board, you have to open the right door to get at it.

Re: Re: Re: Need help with turn signal problem
Try using some electric grease on the bulb connectors. So far it has done wonders for reliability. Also my connectors are melted and burnt looking. I took a small jewelers screwdriver and CAREFULLY bent the metal pins upward/inward to allow for more contact on the bulb. SO dumb.

Re: Need help with turn signal problem
I had the same melting bulb issue, grease helps for a while. But the problem for mine was grounding, I ran another ground wire from behind the bulb socket to the car body and it has been good now for a long time.
