I have spent hours on the internet trying to find info on the fireing order AND which side of the engine (front 3 or back 3) spark plugs are for cylinders number 1 and 3. on my 2002 24 valve engine.
Boy, I sure hope I find a Haynes manuel soon for this car so I can stop bugging all you guys with these basic questions. Thanks again for all responces and help !!! Rob Roy |

Re: Why missfiring only at acceleration only??
The firing order for the 2002 Taurus with 4-valve per cylinder 3.0 liter V-6 is 1-4-2-5-3-6.
I believe that cylinder #1 will be the cylinder nearest the firewall at the belt end of the engine (left rear as looking at the engine from in front of the car). I'm not positive on that. If your car has the original plug wires, the wires are probably labeled for the cylinder they go to. -Rod |
