2002 Jetta Stereo Head Unit Replacement
I have a 2002 Jetta. When I bought it, the salesman told me that if the head unit was replaced with an aftermarket unit it would cause problems with the electrical system and they wouldn't be able to hook it up to their computers for diagnostics any more.
Is there any truth to this, or was he just lying to get me to buy the Volkswagen CD player? Also, if I replace the factory component speakers with better after market speakers, would it be worthwhile if I don't also replace the head unit? Or would it only make a very minor improvement? Thanks for your replies, Symbiosis |

Would upgrading the speakers without a new head unit be worthwhile? Or does VW at least offer any head units with a input jack for a MP3 player? |
