Remote FOB Sync/Reprogram - 02 Trailblazer

I just got a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer today, but the keyless remote doesnt work. I read instructions on how to sync the "FOB" here: http://forums.trailvoy.com/showthrea...=reprogram+fob

But it didnt work... And I still have no idea how to sync up my remote with my car...

Any ideas?

TIA!

Re: Remote FOB Sync/Reprogram - 02 Trailblazer

You sure you have the correct remote?

It should be FCC: MYT3X6898B, and either # 15008008 (#1) or 15008009 (#2)

Thumbs up TBlzr FOB reprogramming

I followed Erik's reference and found the instructions precise and VERY helpful.. GM charges big bucks for this 2 minute procedure on my '02 LTZ.. Thanks for the $$ save.

Welcome to the site!

OK, just to let you know any generic prestige remote will NOT WORK!!!!!! OK, you must either have a GM one with the correct part number or an aftermarket system that can use that prestige remote. Otherwise, dont bother trying to get that remote to work with your TB, it wont. Let me save you and your friend the trouble.

(P.S. you do realize he said TIA as in Thanks In Advance, right?)
