a ton of stuff just like is gone over in the faq. it will probably answer your questions better than 2 pages of posting could do here.

Re: first time buying a car/3000gtvr4

how old are you by the way???? I don't think a VR4 is a good first car at all; for example I think there's someone actually on this board that is like 16 and has a VR4 and it was his first car, and he's already paying out the ass in speeding tickets...

No offence but if it's you're first car, I'd say it's a bit too powerfull, but I could be wrong... I'd suggest starting out with an SL, they're plenty fast, they handle exeptionally, get better gas mileage, and are more reliable than the VR4s... plus insurance will be cheaper... that's just my 2 cents man, but check the FAQ for modding capabilities

What car faster than a VR4 have you driven when your only 16? I'm 18, and the fastest car I have driven is an '06 Charger, only because I was having work done at a Dodge dealership and I got bored. Not to make this a "I have driven faster cars" thread, but seriously. You just got your license. I find it hard to believe that you have driven faster cars.

Rocker is right in every aspect of what he said. Unless your daddy is giving you thousands and thousands of $$$ to waste, then you might want to seriously consider the expense of a VR4. Not just the purchase price, but INSANE insurance, HIGH gas prices, ungodly maintenance costs (as I have heard), and the fact that your experience driving is very limited, a 320 hp twin turbo car is not your best bet. Good luck.

Lol, kid... I don't think you should be any where near a Vr-4. Vr-4's are becoming too rare and we don't need you retiring another to a junkyard. By a camaro, mustang, or a firebird and keep the sterotype alive.

A) I don't care what you say, a 16 year old doesn't need to be driving a vr4.

B) the FAQ answers 99% of the questions you could have

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
