Angry Smoking problem

Just had motor(4.0 v6) rebuilt, less than 3,000 miles on new engine. At times motor will smoke bad and sound like rod knocking. Have been told oil pressure is sending so much oil up that the pvc is loading up with oil and sending it into the intake. Have tried a couple of ways to keep this from happening but after a couple of weeks it starts again. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Thanks 90 ford

The place that rebuilt mine recommended 20w50 oil. Mine was not smoking, but it was using oil a few thousand miles after it was rebuilt. I ended up getting rid of the truck. I still see it around town. Its easy to spot since it always has a bunch of empty oil bottles in the back.
I would seriously consider getting a second opinion. Could be a bad rebuild.

Oil burning, rod knocking...bad rebuild. You need to have them take another look at this one. Don't be surprised if they try to weasle themselves out of this one with all kinds of different reasons. One is using a different viscosity of oil or give it time for the rings to fully seat.
