2001 Ford Focus Horn
I have a 2001 Ford Focus (SE, I think). Anyhow, the horn works when you hit the key lock, but not when you press on the horn in the car. It was working intermittently and then I had to try to find my way around the steering wheel for a place to push it to get it working. Now it doesn't work at all. What could be the cause of this and is it difficult/expensive to fix? How do you get the steering wheel cover off or should this real novice leave it alone and take it to a shop? Any feedback appreciated.

Re: 2001 Ford Focus Horn
If you're a novice, do not mess with the steering wheel assembley. Messing up the airbag removal could cause it to go off in your face, something you definitely do not want. While it could be the actual button thing, it sounds more like it's just an annoying electrical gremlin somewhere in the circuit, that any shop could probably find for you with some time.

Re: 2001 Ford Focus Horn
thanks for your feedback, though this sounds like it's going to be expensive. Last month both rear window regulators broke spontaneously to the tune of $650. I think I'll git me a horse
