Muffler Tip

I'm not really sure where to get a muffler tip for my 1999 Eclipse RS. Ive looked at ebay and found an Apexi GT Muffler. If you guys could take a look at it and lemme know wut u think id appreciate it. Also, do u guys know ne places that weld on muffler for around $50? The website for the muffler is http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/APEXi...spagenameZWDVW. Thanks alot.

Re: Muffler Tip

well thats not a real apexi and if I was you I would get a good quality one and be done with it. your local muffler shop should be able to weld it on your stock pipe for $50 and a cat back for around $100

Re: Muffler Tip

just a tip onto the stock muffler won't do anything except add weight and look different.

Any one else getting confused with all this "tip", "pipe", "mufler" and blah blah?

If you buy a muffler, your exhaust shop can just weld that onto your stock exhaust piping, but it won't do much besides make your car buzz around town. Ask your shop how much it'll cost to bend some piping for your cat back, 2.5in would be fine. Although it'd be better if you just went ahead and bought one from a company, find a used one if you're that money tight about it.

ok dude.......... a TIP is just a "tip" that clamps onto the end of your stock MUFFLER which is pointless and just makes it look bigger. a MUFFLER is what you showed us in the link which provides better exaust flow. Now which one do you want?
