How do I remove Right tail light plastic assembly

I have a Right rear turn signal lamp out and need to replace the bulb. I thought this would be easy. Removed screws at the top of the large plastic lense assembly but the bottom is still tight.

After the screws are removed the entire assembly needs to be pulled straight out. There are clips that you are pulling against.

Ensure that all of the screws are removed (I can't remember how many there are but I think there are only 2)

Do I pull UP or BACK away from the vehicle?

I tried to pry the bottom of the lense and I thought I heard cracking.... Maybe it was just the clips starting to move and I chickened out too quickly. I bet that plastic lense is big dollars.

"Back" and slightly "Outward" at the same time.

You might find a large wooden spoon or spatula a good prying tool. Once you get it removed, lube up everything with vasoline "for the next time".

I bet there is another screw. I had to do this and I'm thinking that I had to search a little for the last screw.

Ok, the wife got home and I took a look at the tail light. It is just the two screws. It just pulls straight out.

I just broke my tail light on the right passenger rear and undoing the two philips screws and pulling straight backwards makes the two steel bubble bolts release from their neoprene holders. Note that there are about three (3) plastic alignment pins that are also part of the light housing and are very fragile and can/will snap off if twisted up or down. Prying straight back with (as noted in the thread) a wooden handle of sorts would work best. You will most likely need to reglue the cushion seal material back on to the lense edge, as it will dry out in time. if its shrunk a bit make certain to only leave a space at the bottom, for moisture /water to drain.
