Re: faster car
Honestly just sell it.
I would search and read up on the b18c1 swap. |

That's a broad question. I think the most cost effective thing would be to do a swap. Then modify that engine. Don't waste the money modding a d series.

Re: faster car
If you want a fast car, you'll have to do more than just an engine swap. An engine swap, build the engine, and turbo would be your best bet. Otherwise a K20 would be your best bet (then h22a, then ITR, then GS-R, etc). The cost will completely depend on what engine you go with and what you do to it. Figure out a budget (a real budget, none of that "well I think I might be able to spend $10K" crap), and figure out some reasonable power goals (400whp isn't going to happen for $5K).

Re: faster car
just know that w/e you pick, power doesn't come cheap and there are no ways around spneding a good chunk of change. Your best bet is to swap and boost if you're not happy w/ the power that the new engine has. A b18c1 swap and boost is going to cost $6-7k+ for a good engine and a turbo set up....and that's on a stock engine.
As soon as you know what you what and the budget you have, then we'll talk

Re: faster car
Greddy turbo kit would be the best bang for the buck as far as factory mods....you could build a DIY turbo kit and see some pretty big hp gains...

Re: faster car
on a D, you can make up to 220whp before needing to worry about internal mods.....get the Greddy or a DIY turbo kit and you'll be good and you won't break the bank.
