Not that this is any surprise considering the history of the CIA...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20051103/...isons_cross_dc http://www.voanews.com/english/2005-11-03-voa5.cfm http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/htm..._detain02.html Guantanamo Bay is common knowledge, but I hadn't heard of anything like this. Makes you wonder -- considering all the trouble they've been involved with in Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib, what could have gone on at one of these "High-Level" detainee locations we're now becoming aware of? (although it is to be assumed they probably have numerous undisclosed locations.)

What high level fascilities are you talking about? Everyone of those articles says they are guessing. Russia, Bulgaria and Thailand say the reports are full of it as it pertains to their countries.
Maybe there are some 'secret' CIA prisons out there someplace. They'd certainly be run by whatever rules cover the country they are in and if they are not, then they should shut them down. So what we know is. - We don't know if they exist. - If they exist, we don't know what they are dong - If they exist and we know what they're doing, we don't know if what they are doing is illegal. To sum it all up, its speculation and a bunch of 'prancing about waving your arms' until a site is confirmed and something illegal has been found.

Of course the U.S. government does things that no one should know about. Every non third-world nation on the planet has covert ops and does illegal things that they don't publicize. Why should the U.S. be any different?
Yes, some human rights get violated by alleged undisclosed prisons, and I'd be willing to say that there are probably some innocent men suffering that fate. It's definitely not a perfect world, and the U.S. is probably violating somebody's rights. But speaking selfishly and honestly I'd rather violate a few rights than have a bunch of crazy terrorists running around freely in my country blowing up shopping centers and movie theatres. |

I say if they have ties to terrorists and know information do what it takes to get the info out of them.
