Pics of a 1965 Falcon Club Wagon

Hi All,

I recently bought a 1965 Ford Falcon Club Wagon from my brother-in-law. I know this is not a Chevy! But for $200 I could not pass it up. My trusty old '88 Astro was covered by 20 feet of saltwater during Hurricane Katrina.

This van sat for 4 years this last time around. He drove it for almost ten years and said it sat for a couple of years before that. Had to replace the coil, plugs, exhaust manifold, all the fluids, tires, headlights, wippers, clean the fuel tank, bled brake lines, etc. Drove it 400+ miles from Sarasota to Panama City Beach. Seemed to drive ok.

Now that I have it home, I have been looking to buy a service and parts manuals on eBay. I am also looking for any web sites that may be of help with restoring this old vehicle.

Any suggestions?

Here are a few photos before it was revived....

97972.9 miles on odometer. Engine block was replaced new about 12 years ago.

Seems everything is there with the exception of the two passenger bench seats and head liner.

The only items I did not get to work before driving it back to Panama City Beach were the rear tag light, the horn and the heater adjustment.

Here is a pic after I made it home...

Cheers,

Keith

Thats a nice project.
Is it my imagination or are the side doors the same as the rears?

Still, I like having a valve cover as an arm rest.
