Re: Honda vs Honda vs Honda

that was sick. that car redline's higher than the bike does and makes 4x as much power.

what kind of bike was the honda, a cbr1000 or somethin'?

Re: Honda vs Honda vs Honda

A car will 99% of the time be faster than a Bike on a road course.

Bike's cannot brake, accelerate or corner as fast as a car. It's simple physics.

i dunno about that, the bikes obviously have better acceleration, and they can get alot closer 2 the apex beacause of their smaller size, if fitted w/ performance brakes they can stop faster than a car because they have such little mass to slow. If both vehicles r maxed out to their highest performing ability the car will win, because we can make it go alot faster, but if u gave a car guy and a bike guy $10,000 the bike would be moving alot faster around a track.

Re: Honda vs Honda vs Honda

Nope, sorry.

A car fitted for basic track racing will always out corner a bike. Fact is a car can corner faster than a Bike.

If you've ever ridden a bike you'll know that you've got to slow down alot more than driving a car around a similar turn.

Car's have roughly 100 times more grip available than a Bike.

Now, a stock Civic won't out handle a Stock CBR600RR. You'd have to move up to a Corvette or something of that performance level to out do a Bike.

R1Rider, a member here, once told me of a friend of his with an FD Rx7. In the straights he'd keep up, but in the corners the Rx7 would out run him. And he's on a 1000cc Bike!

Re: Honda vs Honda vs Honda

A lot of people think a bike will outhandle a car because it is so much lighter and can change directions very quickly. But yeah cars have much more tire in contact with the road, not to mention a more stable center of gravity and spoilers adding downforce etc...

Re: Honda vs Honda vs Honda

Why not make it fair and put an unlimited hydroplane against the two? That's like pitting technology from the 1800's against today's technology...well...actually that's exactly what it is...hulls are so 200 years ago.
