you better be a good driver in the stang. the srts post slightly better numbers in every category. sorry guys. if its a 2003/04 sc cobra, its a differnt story, but a stock gt its tough. if its an automatic, there is no chance

the mustang has 30hp more, and 50lb-ft of torque more... but it's also about 400lbs heavier.
probably a drivers race in straightline acceleration... so far as on a track... the mustang probably has the edge... really cant say though... and this should probably go in the car comparisons forum, not a neon/srt4 forum. you're more likely to get some bias answers here.

1/4 mile times are in the neon's favor. handling will be neck and neck as well. both have very similar slalom and skit pad tests. plus braking goes to the neon every time!
dont always take manufacturers power spec as actual power! the mustang may claim to put down 260hp and 302ft/lbs, but loose 30-40hp and torque to tranny/rear end loss. the srt acutally puts out the power it is claimed to make. so in reality, the power output is nearly identical, but the neon weighs alot less. meaning that the numbers put it in favor of the neon. it is, however, a drivers race for sure!
