Can someone tell me why I get a service engine light? This is the second time in two months. I go through and check all the fluids and they are fine. Things seem to be ok. Stuck for a reason, why.
Thanks for the feedback |

Re: Service Engine Light
This is a computer code for the emissions, transmision or any computer controlled operating system, get it scanned for the code/diagnosis.

Hello:
The servce engine light, could be one of your emission control senors or a engine code that needs to be set. Also did you replace your air filter, if you did, there is a swich that needs to be reconnected. Good Luck

There is an electrical connector on the air filter housing. You should verify that it is connected.
Auto Zone can read what system is giving you your "service engine soon" light. There is an electrical connector under the dash below the steering wheel where they connect the scan tool. |

Hello Lost Boy (Wow what a handle)The connector is part of the box assembly.its on the lower right hand side of the box that faces the transmission depth strick. We hope that the folks at Walmart did not cut or pull out the conector. Should it be the converter, you need to go to a regaulr shop that can hook its computer up, to your car and read the codes. Good Luck, (Just driving along in my Oldsmobile)
