Hot & Cold
Hi, I just bought a 1987 Golf 1.6 and discovered that when I have been driving for a while the air from the heater blows cold, however the engine is hot, the radiator pipes are hot too, the top one is too hot to touch and the bottom one isnt too bad to touch.
The radiator and fan work fine, once the car has cooled down and been sat for a while the heater then works again until the engine gets hot and then we have no heating again, Could it be the thermostat? I have changed the coolant and flushed the system but still get the same problem. I hope its not the head gasket!! as the rest of the car is mint! |
