1991 eagle talon transmission upgrades

I am haveing a problem with my trans since i have done an upgrade to the motor. It seems to have blown the transmission. I have an extra trans but would like to do some upgrades like make it shift harder and keep the rpms higher. can any one tell me how to do this or were i can get parts to do this. I can not find any shift kits for the car or any thing please help. Thanks
