Question a/f meter

alright peeps, what is happening? i wondered, would you hook up an 02 sensor straight into an a/f meter? i have two spare ones in my exhaust im not using right now, and going to put in a new system sometime, and i like to tune my carb for performance w/ decent milage. would this work, or would i have to go buy the kit for 370 bucks from auto meter?

find a dmm and check voltage output on your spare 02 sensors and then call autometer and ask their tech's what the voltage range is for their system. i read the norm is .2 - .7 volts for normal conditions. i suppose it depends on whether the af meter is calibrated to accept the voltage from the sensor. doesnt hurt to ask, might save yourself some money.
