Re: Car sponsorships

I don't care how many people have gotten stuff at a "discount" from those people, you still NEVER pay for a real sponsorship.

Yeah but either way you look at it you can really save big. I look at it more as being in a club (like costco or sams club or something like that) and getting discounts rather than an actual sponsorship. Plus they even count the meets I go to as shows/events!

Re: Car sponsorships

If you were really sponsored by those companies, you'd get even more of a discount. They even tell you on the site that it's not a full sponsorship (they call it quasi-sponsorship). They just give you a discount on a marked up price. Personally I'd rather shop around and get parts from companies that are well known and not just some generic crap (not counting Dunlop or Blaupunkt).

Re: Car sponsorships

they offer both quasi and full, quasi is offered first to see if you actually go to car shows and promote their products. When the sponsors see you at shows promoting they give full sponsorship where they give you free products, and money for your car. shipping is also free

Re: Car sponsorships

People really should organize and look into your legal options.
What they do, in my opinion is just plain wrong.

Re: Car sponsorships

there should be a rule that makes first and third party solicitation to recruiting and selling a bannable offense.

otherwise, get some ad space.
