About A Week Ago I Got In My Van Turned It On , And It Started Just Fine. By The Time I Put My Seat Belt On , It Turned Off, Really Softly No Strange Noises. I Cranked It , It Made The Normal Cranking Sounds But Wouldnt Start. It Has Gas , And The Battery Is Fully Charged. Some One Told Me It Might Have To Do With The Coil Pack? Has Anyone Else Had This Problem Before? If So What Did You Do? Or Mabey Someone Has An Idea Of What Might Be Wrong, And Might Have Some Suggestions On Where I Can Start . Thank You Very Much

Re: My 1998 Windstar Wont Start
Well you could try and see if you have fuel to the injectors (or close by) by carefully relieving the fuel pressure shraeder valve. You could purchase a very inexpensive ignition tester to ensure that you are getting a spark.

Re: My 1998 Windstar Wont Start
WE TESTED THE SPARK ALREADY AND EVEN REPLACED THE COIL PACK . AND STILL THE SAME THING. IS THERE ANOTHER POSSIBLE CAUSE? OR COULD IT POSSIBLY BE THE IGNITION CONTROL MODULE OR THE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (cmp) OR THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (ckp).

Re: My 1998 Windstar Wont Start
1. Are you saying your plugs are firing?
2. As DRW suggested: Have you bleed the Schrader valve on the fuel rail (ignition OFF) to see if you have gasoline present, under pressure, there? |
