Angry Main relay

Now either I'm crazy which could be true but I cant find the main realy. It says its under the drivers side instrument panel and I have looked and found probably every other relay there is but the one that says main relay. I know its got to be there somewhere and I may have even had it and not known it was the one but if someone could tell me where it is at on a 1990 honda civic ex I would be forever greatful thanks for any help Crystal

Re: Main relay

Crystal, it's all the way to the side of the chassis on the driver side (beyond the hood release). It sits vertically and is hard to get to but it's the one all the way flush against the chassis. The other relay above the hood release is the starter relay. GL

Talking found it

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! I finnally found it and re-soldered the joints and that was the problem. It started right up. Now I just have to remember how everything went because I had a hard time getting the bolt off the bracket that was on the relay. The bracket kept bending and I almost ripped the whole dash off!!! (wires included) But I finally got it so now I just need to re-assemble it. Thanks for all the help!!!!!

Re: Main relay

You're trippin... civickiller is totally right. Below the driver side vent there is a flip open tray. If your car doesn't have one, then maybe somebody removed it and broke off the bolt there and left a big gaping hole right there. LOL
