The most effective way is to have the car "dynoed". That is, run it on a chassis dyno. Rear wheel horsepower and torque are approximately 80% of "flywheel" (gross brake) horsepower and torque.
If you list the engine combination (complete) I can run it on a computer simulator and get within 5-10%. Jim |

well, l have 97 firebird formula, 5.7 Liter engine, 8 cylinder. also l have flow master dual exhaust system ( l do not know if it makes more) thats all l know. thank you.. |

weight is 3311 pound
l have no idea about, ET time and trap speed. l have never tried that. what do you guys think about this.. l got 97 firebird formula with dual flowmaster exhaust system and it has 125k miles.. how many horsepower do l have? (just guess) thank you. |

around 280 maybe. dont know.

I would say your HP is probably around 260-265 RWHP and the torque is around 310 ft/pounds.
At the wheels. And as long as the car is running properly.
