Driveaxel? CV joint? brake? any opinion appreciated

My front LEFT wheel was hit to the point where its alignment toe-ined really badly. After alignment shop fixed the toe in, it still pooled to the right ONLY if I let go the steering wheel. I took it again to the shop, soon they figured that its' "caster" messed up, hence no amount of wheel alignment can fix this problem. The front left wheel is slighty "more to the front" than normal/compared to the right. I can see un-intended negative camber quite clearly. Overall it runs so-so, as making left turns takes up more radius than normal, and making right turns have less radius. The killing part is that I have less MPG...from 25 city MPG to about 19-20 city MPG. What needs replacement? I'm thinking the whole axel. Also CV joint, bc in every slight turn it makes loud periodic scratching noises (like metal to metal)- but the noise also sounds like its coming from some part of the "spinning" wheel scraping against my brake shoe/caliper or something. Other mechanic mentioned the possibility of bent steering arm among other things.
I know this is like random facts, but thats all I know so far, if anyone has experience in this problem, pls let me hear your opinion. Thanks!

caster is adjustable on mr2s... and for more agressive alignments, i've heard to put in as much caster as possible.

there is no CV joint on the front of a mr2, and the suspension part that is most likely destroyed, (i had a similar problem) can be found at a junkyard for around $50
