On my 91 cavalier when i put the key in i can start it but the problem is when i let go of the key it springs back and shuts the car off. I don't know if it is my ignition switch or my ignition lock cylinder. The key is also stuck in the ignition but when I unscrew the ignition switch from the ignition cylinder the key is able to click back the right position to be removed. Pretty sure it is the ignition switch just need a second opinion.

I had the same problem but for the year 1991 I didn't spend the money which was over $135. Instead used a spring on a chain and hook it up to the dash. If you know where to buy cheap, let me know. Thanks!! |
