Question 91 cavalier ignition

On my 91 cavalier when i put the key in i can start it but the problem is when i let go of the key it springs back and shuts the car off. I don't know if it is my ignition switch or my ignition lock cylinder. The key is also stuck in the ignition but when I unscrew the ignition switch from the ignition cylinder the key is able to click back the right position to be removed. Pretty sure it is the ignition switch just need a second opinion.

I had the same problem but for the year 1991 I didn't spend the money which was over $135. Instead used a spring on a chain and hook it up to the dash. If you know where to buy cheap, let me know. Thanks!!

How did you get to and remove the ignition switch?
Please advise.
Thanks.

You need to pull the steering wheel. Autozone gives you the puller to use for a small deposit. I think all the instructions are also on their webpage.
