Question sound competitions

as blasphemous as this may sound to everyone here, i've never been to a sound competition.
how do i find out about those non-membership events? I'd like to place my car in one of them, not that i think i can win, but i'd like to see other people's rides, and hopefully recieve advise and learn how to get better sq.

and as a lil bonus question, just cuz i'm curious,

what was the config. you first entered i a sound competition? anything special like diy kicks, uber dampening, w/e, etc?

Re: sound competitions

most people have been to/ enterered spl comps if anything.. mostly through db drag and meca. i think most sq comps are through IASCA... and i think meca has an sq league.. and theyre a bretty big organization. do a search and go to the main pages im sure youll learn a lot and youll find future comp dates/locations there.
