1995 buick lesabre struts

Help I am trying to change my rear struts. The upper housing is too thick. Anyone know what I did wrong.

What do you mean by the "housing is too thick"? do you mean that your strut doesn't come throgh the top mount?

Compair your old strut length to your new one.
