and the p300, 301, 304 all have "B" at the end. engne seems to work fine. also there is a symbol iluminated that looks like a exclamation mark in a triangle inside a arrow formed in a circle. I don't have the owners manual so I don't know what the hell it is. seems maybe a maintenance reminder or some thing. any help would be appreciated. veedubmechanic any suggestions ?? tnks |

Re: misfire codes.
let me just add that after jumping in the car now and hammering the throttle it bogged at about 2500 rpm and hit rev liimiter at about 3500rpm then let it run alittle bit then worked ok.

Re: Re: misfire codes.
Not sure about your misfire codes, in the VR6 they usually mean that the coil pack is cracked and letting moisture in. The P1128 error code could be a bad mass airflow meter, a bad 02 sensor, a bad catalytic converter, a vacumm leak somewhere, or a clogged air screen in the air box. In my case, it was a clogged air screen at 80k.

Re: misfire codes.
Isn't that symbol the traction control? Try turning the traction control on and see if the symbol turns off.
