Now that actually looks good. Too bad the valve covers aren't as easy to paint.

Re: My painted intake cover

Looking good sir, Wish I could find time to do mine sometime. That's the same style as mine...I wonder how white would look with mine unless I could find some good Chrome paint that would set it off hmmm.

Re: My painted intake cover

Looks pretty damn sweet!!! I never thought of doning the K&N Intake Tube. I'll have to think about that one. All we need now is one more person to do it and it'll be an official trend. I really like the color.

Re: My painted intake cover

That paint was from Wal-Mart. I can't remember the brand, but it actually had metal flakes in it. It was like $10 a can. My girl actually picked out the color, I had a can of Testors model paint b/c I couldn't find anything close to what I wanted. She came through for me again

I think if I ever get around to swapping my cam, I'll probably paint my valve covers

Re: My painted intake cover

That looks very nice. I've come close to picking up the paint twice now but I've got;
A) Too many irons in the fire ATM
B) Had the wife and kids with me when I was at the store so I didn't have a ton of time to look at paints and the like.

But it is coming to a post near you soon.

Consider the trend in full effect. I've already got mine painted. Used chrome paint from wallmart. 4 coats but no clear. I'll get pics up in a few weeks after I figure out what I'm doing wrong that won't allow me to mount my nerf bars. I don't want to take pics until I'm all done doing what I want to do to it so I can just show all my mods at once.
